Role Description
We are looking for a Cost Accounting Manager to own inventory costing, reporting, and valuation processes as we continue to scale. Reporting into our Director of Accounting, you will play a critical role in building and strengthening our inventory accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across systems and processes.

Own day-to-day cost accounting, including inventory costing under full absorption accounting and bill of materials calculations

Manage purchase price variance analysis and ensure accurate cost allocation

Reconcile inventory accounts monthly and prepare COGS journal entries and related adjustments

Analyze and allocate inventory and COGS-related costs, including freight, tariffs, duties, and overhead

Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Fulfillment, Logistics, and Operations to improve inventory processes

Oversee NetSuite configurations and enhancements related to inventory management and system integrations

Calculate and record inventory reserves, including excess, obsolete, and end-of-life products, as well as warranty provisions

Prepare inventory rollforwards, flux analyses, and reporting on inventory, COGS, and gross margin

Build and maintain scalable processes, controls, and documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal standards

Ensure audit readiness through organized documentation and adherence to internal controls
Qualifications

7+ years of cost accounting or inventory accounting experience in corporate or public accounting

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 330 (Inventory)

Experience with bill of materials, excess and obsolescence reserves, and purchase price variance accounting

Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar

Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets and reconciliations

Bachelorβs degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred

Experience supporting or implementing automation within accounting processes preferred

Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Effective communication skills with experience partnering cross-functionally

Hands-on experience using GenAI tools to solve practical problems with clear, measurable outcomes
Requirements

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $170,000.
