Role Description
The Development Project Accounting Manager supports full-cycle subcontract and job cost accounting across multiple construction projects. This role manages:

Pay applications

Vendor invoices
-
Bank reconciliations
-
Job-cost reviews
-
Journal entries
-
Tax filings
-
Monthly financial reporting
Works closely with project managers to ensure accurate costing and timely reporting.
Our Development Project Accounting Managers:

Support detailed requests, presentations, and other high-level to granular deliverables for the CFO, C-Suite, and major stakeholders of Transforming Age and GSI in relation to development projects.

Maintain accurate job costing and perform routine reconciliations.

Manage cash balances, payments, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare monthly financials, over/under billing schedules, and tax returns.

Support audits, financial draws, and vendor documentation.

May provide assistance on compliance-related activities including various tax filing preparation and cost report preparation.

Perform general Fixed Asset Management as needed.

Support any month-end close, including carrying out all professional accounting activities.

Prepare materials for internal and external audiences, including reports, worksheets, analyses, documentation, and other supporting schedules for auditors, tax returns, regulatory agencies; prepares detailed findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in accounting, finance or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Five or more years of accounting and financial reporting experience.

Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.

Strong experience with MS Excel and other MS Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and other MS Suite.

Workday experience a plus.

Ability to troubleshoot and critically think through processes and issues.

A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and critical thinking skills which support and enable sound decision making.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements

The salary for this position is between $99,200 to $124,000 DOE and Location.
