Role Description
The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting team within our Commissioning Services business by assisting with basic accounting and administrative tasks. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to commissioning and construction accounting in a real-world environment while supporting the growing volume of project set-ups and administrative documentation. The role emphasizes organization, attention to detail, and learning the full accounting lifecycle from project set-up through closeout.
Responsibilities

Perform basic accounting data entry with a high level of accuracy

Assist with project set-up processes in the ERP system, including initial data entry and document preparation

Organize and maintain electronic project and accounting files to ensure completeness and accessibility

Support month-end close preparation by gathering and organizing required backup documentation

Assist the Accounting team with administrative tasks related to document control and record retention

Review information for completeness and accuracy and flag discrepancies as needed

Follow established accounting and documentation processes and internal controls

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field

Interest in accounting operations, construction accounting, or commissioning services

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and document management tools

Willingness to learn new systems and processes, including ERP software
Compensation & Benefits

The expected base salary range for this role is $22.00 - $25.00 USD per hour.
