Role Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and driving growth initiatives for the portfolio company. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, contributing to decision-making processes, and ensuring the organization's financial health and stability. This position reports directly to the CEO and to the Board of Directors.

• Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy, aligning it with our long-term business goals and growth objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
• Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial analysis, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate timely and accurate financial reports for executive management and the board, providing actionable insights for business performance improvement.
• Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Evaluate and manage financial risks, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial assets and reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and accounting principles.
• Software Expertise:
  • Leverage prior experience in the software industry to assess and strengthen the company's commercial posture, protecting sensitive financial data and intellectual property from potential threats.
• Mergers and Acquisitions:
  • Collaborate with the executive team in identifying and evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships to drive business expansion and diversification.
• Team Leadership and Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and competencies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive financial management experience including, ideally, a minimum of 3-5 years of CFO experience
• Private Equity backed Portfolio Company Experience; Exit experience preferred
• M&A Experience
• Technical proficiency in SaaS / enterprise technology revenue recognition, with an understanding of ERP, CRM and other relevant billing dependencies
