Role Description

If so, then Nationwide Financial could be the place for you! This is a fully remote Financial Planner role that will support our Retirement Solutions team. The candidate will ideally live in the Northern part of California, ideally within close driving distance of Sacramento, CA. Some travel will be required.

This role does require the candidate to have their Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, and they must also possess their FINRA 6, 63, 65 (or 7/66) & life insurance licenses.

This is a G2 band role.

As a Financial Planner, you'll support Registered Representatives and Investment Advisor Representatives by utilizing approved software to produce needs assessments and financial plans, in writing, to drive a consistent sales process/client experience and assist in identifying additional cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance.
• FINRA 6 license and Certified Financial Planner designation required.
• Two years of experience in the financial services industry with specialization in financial planning.
• Knowledge of Profiles or Money Guide Pro or similar financial planning software.
• An in-depth understanding of the industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client service strategies desired.
• Knowledge of investment products.
• Familiarity with property and casualty distribution a plus.
• Superior analytical, organizational, research, initiative, and multi-tasking skills.

Requirements

• Acts as a technical resource to communications on retiree marketing efforts.
• Maintains detailed records of customer interactions, recommendations, and actions according to appropriate regulations.
• Meets all regulatory requirements, supports and coordinates under applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to all firm compliance and supervisory policies, including but not limited to, anti-money laundering/Office of Foreign Asset Control and/or privacy policies and procedures.
• Maintains awareness of changing legal environment as it impacts investments, retirement plans, and insurance products.
