[Hiring] Cash Receipt Specialist @Penbrothers

Role Description

The Cash Receipts Specialist will be responsible for data entry and daily receipt of cash into the organization.

What You'll Do

• Data entry and processing of cash receipts through paper checks, ACH, credit card processing. Currently processing approximately 1,200 payments monthly.
• Monitor bank transactions and reconcile customer remittance advice to deposits.
• Continuous dialogue with the accounting team regarding:
  • Skipped invoices
  • Duplicate payments
  • Over payments
  • Short payments
  • Misapplied payments
  • Missing or inadequate remittance advice
  • Any other matters requiring additional research
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable to assist with:
  • Sending statements/invoices
  • Following up on skipped invoices
  • Sending requests for payment
  • Verifying billing information with new customers

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related business field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 3 years experience in a similar position.
• Excellent communication, research, problem solving and time management skills.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Advanced computer skills with experience in Google Suite and Microsoft Great Plains preferred.
• Ability to adapt and participate in a collaborative customer-focused work environment.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Results focused, self-motivated individual.
• Focused and deliberate attention to details.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
