[Hiring] Business Manager III @V2X

Role Description

V2X is seeking an experienced Business Manager III to support the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) mission. CNATRA develops the next generation of U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and allied aviation professionals, providing the training foundation that prepares them to operate in demanding environments around the world.

This position will play a key business leadership role on one of V2X’s flagship programs, supporting the maintenance and readiness of the T-45 Goshawk—the U.S. Navy’s advanced jet trainer. The T-45 is a critical bridge between foundational flight instruction and tactical fleet aircraft, preparing Student Naval Aviators for the demands of high-performance jet operations, formation flying, instrument procedures, tactical maneuvering, and carrier aviation.

As Business Manager III, you will lead the financial and business disciplines that keep this mission moving—from program planning and forecasting to cost control, compliance, and executive decision support. Your work will help maximize aircraft availability, training continuity, and responsible stewardship of customer resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Business Partner for assigned PMs in A&D.
• Exercise supervisory responsibility over all financial areas of the program, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, EACs, cost management, and cash flow management.
• Ensure that all financial reporting activities for the program are thoroughly and timely prepared and reviewed, and that all reports comply with appropriate financial standards and company requirements.
• Assist with developing strategic business plans and forecasts; monitor actual vs. budget/forecast, ensuring financial statements provide a realistic view of financial position.
• Manage a finance staff and overall budget responsibility.
• Review financial procedures and practices to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Interface with internal and external auditors.
• Consult with senior management and functional managers regarding financial-related activities.
• Develop and implement financial controls.
• Conduct financial reviews of program areas.
• Prepare and analyze various financial reports.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics for financial management.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of related professional experience.
• Ability to provide internal training and workflow delegation within the department.
• Demonstrated abilities to lead projects and build successful teams within an organization.
• SAP (or other ERP) system experience is critical for the success of the position.
• Proficient in the use of computers and software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of contractual programs, company organization, policies, and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to travel for company business as required.
• Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.
