Role Description

The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities is seeking motivated applicants for a flexibly-staffed Budget Analyst 1/2 position, which can be filled at either the trainee (BA 1) or full working level (BA 2). As a Budget Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in supporting statewide operating and capital budget functions, collaborating with experienced professionals, and progressively developing your technical and analytical skills. Qualifications

• Two years of technical level experience in accounting, budget, finance, or similar field for Budget Analyst 1.
• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics, or a closely related field will substitute for the required experience.
• One year of entry professional level experience analyzing and reviewing budgetary data and information for Budget Analyst 2.
• Two years of entry level professional experience in accounting or auditing; financial management, budget analysis, management, or projection/forecasting; budget legislation or policy analysis; or economic or management analysis and projection.
