[Hiring] Bookkeeper @Remote World

Role Description

You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SME clients — recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, preparing VAT returns, and producing monthly management accounts. You'll work in Xero and become a trusted pair of hands for your clients.

• Record transactions and reconcile bank accounts in Xero
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and submit to HMRC
• Produce monthly P&L and balance sheet summaries
• Chase outstanding invoices and manage accounts payable
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and missing documents

Qualifications

• Solid bookkeeping experience using Xero or QuickBooks
• Understanding of UK VAT and basic accounting principles
• Organised and deadline-driven — clients depend on accurate, timely work
• Good communication skills for client-facing queries

Requirements

• AAT qualification or studying towards it (nice to have)
• Experience with payroll processing (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Dext or AutoEntry for receipt capture (nice to have)
