Role Description

Welcome future Bank of Utah interns! Bank of Utah is excited to be hiring interns for the summer of 2027. Our 12-week internship program (May 17th – August 6th, 2027) will immerse you in the real work of one of Utah's largest community banks. You will get a chance to meet and learn from senior leadership, network with other interns and understand the various aspects of banking through regular learning opportunities. Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master's degree, graduating 2027 or 2028
• Able to work full time from May 17th – Aug 6th, 2027
• Strong communication skills, open to feedback, organized, willing to follow up with multiple parties
• Desire to learn and apply new skills
• Business major or business background preferred

Requirements

• Required accounting, finance, or business degree for specific internships
• Some coursework and/or experience with finance, accounting, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel for Credit Analyst Assistant
• Prior commercial lending experience preferred for Credit Analyst Assistant
• Prefer accounting, finance, or business degree for Risk/Compliance Intern
• Prefer finance, marketing, business, analytics, or economics degree for Credit Card Product Management Intern
• Prefer a student to intern between their junior and senior year, studying HR or related business field for Human Resources Intern

  • Performing credit assessment, documentation, and gaining hands-on experience in evaluating creditworthiness
  • Mentorship from seasoned professionals
  • Sharpen analytical skills and enhance understanding of risk management
  • Contribute to real-world lending decisions on multi-million-dollar transactions
• RISK/COMPLIANCE – Full Time Intern – Location Flexible (Ogden/Lehi)
  • Involved in many aspects of the Bank’s enterprise risk program
  • Helping the Bank understand implications and processes around risk management and compliance regulations
  • Learning how the Bank identifies and mitigates risk factors
• CREDIT CARD PRODUCT MANAGEMENT – Full Time Intern – Location Flexible
  • Assist with market research, customer outreach initiatives, competitive analysis, portfolio reporting, and product development projects
  • Gain exposure to payments, card economics, marketing strategy, customer experience, and data-driven decision making
