Role Description

We're looking for an experienced Assurance Senior Associate to join our expanding State and Local Government Practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the nation's most significant government audits, including:

• Large states
• Counties
• Cities
• Airports
• Ports
• Transit agencies
• One of the largest statewide federal compliance audits in the country

What You'll Do:

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Manage budgets, timelines, staffing, and client communications.
• Supervise, coach, and develop associates and experienced staff.
• Build trusted relationships with government leaders and key stakeholders.
• Review workpapers, identify risk areas, and ensure audit quality.
• Develop expertise in government auditing standards, federal compliance, and complex public-sector reporting.
• Contribute to practice growth through client service excellence and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting experience; State and Local Government audit experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with required accounting coursework.
• CPA license preferred; CPA eligible or actively pursuing certification required.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements while delivering exceptional client service.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 plus a competitive bonus program and comprehensive benefits package.
