Responsibilities

• Review and properly categorize bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks.
• Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoice creation, payment application, customer account reconciliation, and collections support.
• Process Accounts Payable by entering vendor bills, matching purchase orders, reconciling vendor accounts, and maintaining vendor records.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post recurring and adjusting journal entries, including accruals and allocations across accounting periods.
• Assist in reviewing financial data and performing basic variance analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Support the month-end close process by following structured close checklists and helping prepare timely financial reports.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records while adhering to established accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Solid accounting experience is a must, with a strong understanding of accrual-basis accounting and bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (or a similar accounting platform) is required.
• Experience handling Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while following established accounting procedures and month-end close processes.
• Availability for video calls is a must.
• Available to work full-time (40 hrs/week).
• Can work during standard US business hours.
• Fast, stable internet connection (minimum download speed of 10 Mbps).
• Working computer/laptop (minimum requirement: Intel i5 processor or equivalent, 8GB RAM).
• Backup power source or alternative work location during power outages.
