Role Description

Under the direction of the Shared Business Operations (SBO) leadership, the Accounting Supervisor - SBO is responsible for contributing to the success of the organization by overseeing the work of a team of professionals that supports Financial Operations.

• Leads and manages a team of accounting professionals, setting goals, managing performance, providing guidance and support, and fostering a positive and productive team culture.
• Oversees the system of internal controls in related area(s) to identify and minimize risk as well as comply with company policies.
• Works with Internal and External auditors to provide support and explanations for any selections related to areas of responsibility.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Participates in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to areas of responsibility.
• Collaborates with other departments, including but not limited to, corporate accounting, legal, tax, and financial operations, to ensure accurate and timely accounting management.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and analyzing trends.
• Builds and maintains relationships with accounting authorities, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective accounting management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years Accounting or Finance experience required

Requirements

• General Ledger experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Google Suite experience preferred
• Oracle experience preferred
