[Hiring] Accounting Manager @Motion & Control Enterprises

Role Description

As Accounting Manager for Tax Compliance and Lease Administration at MCE, you will serve as the primary internal point of contact for all corporate tax matters — managing relationships with external tax advisors, coordinating multi-state filings, and ensuring every deadline is met. You will own the full lifecycle of MCE's real estate and equipment lease portfolio, including:

• Lease accounting under ASC 842
• Critical date management
• ROU asset and liability reconciliations
• Coordination with operations, legal, and procurement across 25+ companies and 60+ locations

This is a high-ownership role for a proactive, detail-driven accounting manager who thrives in a fast-moving, acquisition-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 7 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct responsibility for corporate tax compliance and lease administration
• Strong experience managing multi-state tax filings and compliance requirements through external tax service providers
• Hands-on ASC 842 lease accounting experience — ROU asset calculations, lease liability reconciliations, and related journal entries
• Experience managing real estate and equipment lease portfolios across multiple locations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

Requirements

• CPA designation preferred
• Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations, and complex multi-location organizations
• Public accounting background is a plus
• Experience with lease accounting software and lease management systems
