[Hiring] Accounting Manager @LivePerson

Role Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our global LivePerson team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Book close process
• Managing the monthly work papers for PL & BS reporting
• Analyzing the material movements in the financial statements
• Fulfilment of the control requirements as per SOX
• Working with a global accounting team

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Accounting team in managing the monthly and quarterly close process.
• Manage monthly closing workpapers (i.e. prepayments, leases, fixed assets, accruals, software capitalization & impairment).
• Review and approve monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review and present monthly/quarterly flux analysis to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with SEC financial reporting processes and initiatives, including related activities.
• Develop and maintain a well-documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
• Ability to take on special projects and other day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Participate in strategic projects.
• Participate in the implementation and optimization of various new systems and processes.
• Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and statutory requirements.
• Mentor team members to scale and deliver.
• Execution of assigned team goals, team management and career development.
• Support Global team with special projects and workflow process improvements.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (preferred) / MBA - Finance with minimum of 8-10 years of experience
• Proficient in US GAAP Accounting for US or multinational companies
• Working knowledge of SAP and Oracle Financial System
• Good knowledge of SOX controls
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a strong problem-solving mindset
• Ability to manage a small team of 4-5 FTEs while working individually on some critical tasks
• Comfortable with shifting priorities and managing multiple deliverables
• Proactive self-learner with a strong desire to acquire new knowledge and learn new processes
