[Hiring] Accounting Assistant @GrowthAssistant

Role Description

At GrowthAssistant, we’re looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our Finance Team — someone who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate records, smooth billing processes, and timely collections.

• Manage bookkeeping tasks by consolidating data into QuickBooks and Excel
• Categorize and classify transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice verification and processing
• Support Accounts Receivable (AR): invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
• Monitor automated billing systems and flag discrepancies
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate financial records
• Assist in month-end close prep (reports, balance checks, variance flags)
• Communicate with customers regarding billing, payments, and discrepancies
• Process incoming payments and ensure compliance with financial policies
• Follow up on overdue invoices and escalate when needed
• Support subscription setup and billing adjustments
• Assist in reconciling payroll vs billing data

Qualifications

• Must-Have:
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong hands-on experience with AR processes (invoicing + collections)
• 2+ years of experience with QuickBooks Online
• Experience with subscription billing or invoicing platforms
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas)
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
• Strong written communication skills
• Comfortable working CST hours (night shift PH time)
• Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with Chargebee or similar billing tools
• Familiarity with Ramp or other AP platforms
• Experience using Slack for internal communication
• Exposure to HubSpot or similar ticketing systems
