Role Description

The Accountant will support field offices across the country by handling day-to-day transactional accounting functions. This is an entry-level to intermediate position focused on accounts payable, commissions, payroll support, journal entries, and monthly period close activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment. This position requires a minimum commitment of one year, as training typically takes two or more months. There may be opportunities for long-term growth or employee transition within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vouchers, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations
• Support monthly and period-end close activities
• Handle commission processing and related reconciliations
• Assist with payroll processing and 1099 preparation
• Perform accounts payable functions
• Support onboarding and training of new contractors
• Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned field offices
• Complete office-specific accounting projects as needed
• Provide general transactional accounting support for field operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• Understanding of debits and credits and journal entries
• Experience with:
  • Accounts Payable
  • Period close processes
  • Payroll or commission processing (preferred)
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
