Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on financial accountant (m/f) with a workload of 50% based in Zurich. In this role, you will own day-to-day financial accounting operations and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting in a SaaS and subscription-based environment.

• Bridge traditional accounting with modern, digital-first financial processes
• Work closely with finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
• Contribute to the development of a scalable and robust finance function
• Participate in process improvements, automation initiatives, and prepare for future system migrations
• Manage financial accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Own the monthly close process, including accruals, deferrals, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with Swiss accounting standards
• Monitor and process payments
• Monitor and track expenses
• Support subscription- and usage-based revenue reconciliation
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Prepare finance-ready datasets for management and board-level reporting
• Collaborate with internal and external partners, such as auditors
• Contribute to the design and improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting structures

Qualifications

• Qualified Expert: Certified Accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a solid commercial foundation
• Industry Experience: Several years in financial accounting, ideally within the SaaS, Tech, or Fintech sectors
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid command of Swiss accounting standards
• Tech-Savvy: Expert in Excel/Google Sheets and experienced with modern accounting tools (e.g., Bexio, Kontera, Odoo)
• Work Style: An independent, structured "owner" who thrives in dynamic environments with evolving processes
• Communication: Fluent in German and English, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams
