[Hiring] ACCA Management Accountant @Portt & Co

Role Description

You will oversee a portfolio of UK clients, ensuring accurate management accounting, compliance and reporting, while mentoring and supervising junior trainee accountants. This is a client-facing role within a practice environment, so prior practice experience is strongly preferred.

• Deliver and review UK management accounts, statutory accounts, payroll, and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior trainee management accountants, reviewing their work, providing feedback, and supporting their professional development.
• Act as the first point of contact for client queries, ensuring high service standards.
• Ensure compliance with UK VAT, and payroll regulations.
• Collaborate with partners and other managers to continually improve workflows and client service.

Qualifications

• ACCA Qualified (or finalist within 6 months).
• Strong practice experience (minimum 3–5 years in accountancy practice).
• Demonstrated ability to manage and review junior staff.
• Strong English communication skills; confident in liaising with UK clients.

Requirements

• Candidates will require the right to work in the EU on a permanent basis i.e. not via a temporary visa.

• Salary: RON 14,000–18,000 gross/month (depending on experience).
