Role Description
- Lead the structuring, execution, re-negotiation and extension of ABS transactions, including liaising with banks, rating agencies, legal advisors, and internal teams to ensure seamless deal execution.
- Analyze asset pool characteristics, performance data, and credit risk factors to optimize ABS structures and funding strategies.
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and rating agencies, ensuring transparent communication and engagement throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Oversee due diligence processes, coordinate transaction documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
- Support the expansion of ABS programs into new jurisdictions, aligning transaction structures with country-specific regulations and investor preferences.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting ABS transactions, including ESMA Securitization Regulations, STS framework, and capital market requirements. Prior experience with Italian Law 130 structures would be a plus.
- Work closely with treasury, finance, risk, legal, and IT teams to support funding initiatives and ensure seamless operational execution of structured finance programs.
- Keep abreast of market trends, investor demand, and competitive benchmarks to refine Auto1 Group’s structured finance strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in structured finance, securitization, or ABS transaction management, preferably within an investment bank, asset-backed lender, or financial services company.
- Strong understanding of ABS structuring, credit risk assessment, and transaction documentation. Familiarity with rating methodologies and securitization cash flow modeling is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of European ABS regulations, STS framework, and securitization market dynamics.
- Proven experience in managing external and internal stakeholders, including investors, banks, and legal advisors, in high-stakes transactions.
- Ability to analyze large datasets, assess credit performance, and optimize ABS structures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present transaction insights to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required; German or Italian is a plus.
