Mar 27, 2025 - Gbsgroup is hiring a remote Senior Tax Accountant. 💸 Salary: between usd 2500 - 3000 /monthly. 📍Location: Latin America (LATAM).
Role Description
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll lead complex assignments, collaborate with junior accountants, and work directly with our clients to provide expert tax guidance. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-level tasks, advise clients on sophisticated tax strategies, and set a standard of excellence within our firm.
- Analysis of financial information and preparation of financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for clients.
- Oversee and prepare various tax returns, including 1040, 1040NR, FBAR, 1120, 1120S, 1120F, 1065, and 5471.
- Review and process incoming financial documentation such as bank statements and client documentation.
- Facilitating clients to ensure they are complying with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional accounting and tax-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Taxation and 5+ years of experience.
- Experience in US Tax Preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Tax Programs.
- Advanced level of English & Spanish.
- Prior experience preparing complex tax returns and corporate tax filings.
Requirements
- Analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
- Must be comfortable reading, writing, and speaking to clients about tax accounting matters in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years experience working in a CPA or Bookkeeping firm.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Intermediate Knowledge of QuickBooks.
- Experience working with UltraTax CS.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification, or active pursuit of certification.
- Experience working for US-based Companies.
- Demonstrated experience with tax planning and advising for multinational clients.
