Role Description
Drive legal strategy at the heart of customer and product experiences. We're seeking a talented junior Lawyer to join our team, providing expert counsel across trade agreements, competition and consumer law, and strategic brand initiatives.
- This full-time position will focus on Endeavour Group's trade agreements (vendor terms, merchandise contracts), ACCC clearances, marketing/pricing advice.
- Offer opportunities to contribute to privacy, brand, loyalty, and digital initiatives.
- Join a team of 8 skilled lawyers, all reporting to the General Counsel - Regulatory, Brand & Customer Experience.
- Manage Endeavour Group’s contracts with trade vendors across our extensive network of retail businesses, hotels, and wineries.
- Provide essential support on strategic acquisitions and legal guidance on data, privacy, digital, loyalty, and other brand-related matters.
- Legal support across Endeavour Group’s diverse portfolio, encompassing iconic brands such as Dan Murphy’s, BWS, ALH Hotels, Pinnacle Drinks, EndeavourX, and our wineries.
Qualifications
- Law degree, current legal practicing certificate, and 3-5 years of post-admission legal experience.
- Proven in-house legal experience within a large, complex organization, preferably in the retail sector.
- Demonstrated experience at a top-tier law firm (highly regarded).
- Expertise in independently drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Experience or a strong willingness to develop expertise in competition law, digital, data, privacy, and brand-related legal matters.
- Ability to apply a commercial and practical approach to achieve business objectives.
- Strong technical legal capability.
- Agile work style with excellent prioritization skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, while effectively utilizing support from Senior Lawyer and General Counsel.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Holistic and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to make pragmatic, risk-based judgments.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and collaborate effectively as a team player.
