Role Description
This role involves leading the treasury function at Fullscript, a mission-driven, growth-stage company. You will be responsible for designing and executing a treasury roadmap that supports various financial operations.
- Oversee daily cash flow, short-term liquidity planning, and funding strategies to ensure financial stability.
- Own and manage banking and lending relationships, negotiate credit facilities, and oversee bank account structures.
- Administer and manage Fullscript’s stock compensation plans and employee stock options.
- Develop and implement strategies for foreign exchange, interest rate, and credit risk management.
- Optimize the organization’s investment portfolio in accordance with financial policies and risk tolerance.
- Assess and recommend financing structures, debt issuance, and capital allocation strategies.
- Implement and enhance treasury management systems (TMS) for automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Maintain and improve cash control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and optimize working capital.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, treasury policies, and internal controls. Prepare periodic treasury reports for senior leadership.
- Work closely with finance, accounting, and business units to optimize treasury functions. Provide leadership and mentorship to the treasury team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- ~5+ years of direct treasury experience; and ~10+ years of total experience within accounting, banking or finance related roles.
- Experience within a leadership role is ideal.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CTP are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, stock compensation plans, and financial risk management.
- Experience with Canada/US cross-border banking.
- Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and financial modeling tools.
- Proven ability to manage banking and lending relationships and negotiate financial agreements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
