Role Description
In collaboration with Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, support all activities related to financial planning & analysis for all company product lines, including:
- Analysis and forecasting of revenue, profitability, costs, and backlog
- Acting as a liaison between finance and project operational groups
- Supporting the development of systems to improve financial related communications and tracking of project financial metrics
- Providing support for the collection of data and identification of cost saving opportunities at the product, department, and project level
Project Finance and Revenue Analysis Support includes:
- Supporting the development of key analytics and dashboards
- Assisting in the development of project and company level budget forecasts
- Identifying trends related to project cost overruns
- Collaborating with Project Directors/Managers on budget agreements
- Assisting Project Management teams in reconciling project expenditures
- Liaising with Business Development and Legal for change orders and statements of work
- Updating internal revenue management and expense forecasting processes
- Gathering and analyzing large sets of data
- Maintaining revenue model and assisting in monthly analysis
Transactional Processing involves:
- Supporting data collection and forecasting related to revenue and expenses
- Ensuring timely verification and processing of change orders and statements of work
- Organizing technical written materials for statements of work and vendor agreements
Vendor Support includes:
- Supporting development of changes to vendor bid packages
- Finalizing vendor budget agreements
- Analyzing vendor proposals and budgets
Qualifications
- Minimum of a one-to-two-year post-secondary certification in a relevant field of study
- Minimum of one to three years of related work experience with ongoing training
- Accounting or Office Administration specialty preferred
- Self-motivation with strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to build collaborative relationships
- Ability to engage in continuous learning and self-development
- Skilled in the use of spreadsheet, database, and/or data-mining software
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Literate in the concepts of data analytics
- Visual Basic Applications (VBA) skills preferred
