Role Description
We are seeking an experienced accountant who excels at reading and analyzing balance sheets, is a QBO expert, thrives in a dynamic environment, and can work independently with minimal oversight. This role requires expert-level bookkeeping knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently.
- Expertly assess and analyze balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Prepare, draft, and file 1099s for multiple clients
- Perform monthly financial closes and reconciliations with precision
- Process payroll and payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance
- Manage accounts receivable and payable for various clients
- Draft and implement internal controls and SOPs to improve efficiency
- Identify and correct errors and duplicates during reconciliations
- Ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA/CMA preferred
- 5+ years of advanced bookkeeping/accounting experience in a multi-client environment
- Strong self-sufficiency—you can manage your workload without hand-holding
- Expertise in balance sheets, financial statements, and payroll processing
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, Keeper, Bill.com, and Microsoft Office
- Deep knowledge of 1099 processing, payroll taxes, and compliance regulations
- Proficiency running and analyzing payroll
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients and the team
