Role Description
As a Contracts Specialist at Mediafly, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's contracts and agreements are managed effectively and efficiently. Reporting to the VP, People & Operations, you will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including legal counsel, sales, finance, and operations teams, to ensure contracts align with company policies, objectives, and legal requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating contractual risks and liabilities by conducting thorough reviews and assessments of contract terms and conditions.
- Managing contract lifecycles from initiation through execution and renewal, including tracking key milestones, deadlines, and obligations.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external parties as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and organized contract records and documentation, including contract templates, databases, and repositories.
- Monitoring and tracking contract compliance and performance, ensuring adherence to terms, conditions, and deliverables.
- Working with external counsel to maintain and conduct an annual review of our standard legal suite of documents including, but not limited to, our order forms, MSA, DPA, and NDAs.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of contract management processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Staying informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting contract management practices, and ensuring compliance with applicable requirements.
- Supporting special projects and initiatives related to contract management and operations as assigned by the VP, People & Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field; Paralegal certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or related field, preferably in a tech company or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of contract law, principles, and best practices, with experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving complex contractual issues.
- Proficiency in contract management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
