Role Description
This role involves managing cash applications within the Credit Control team, focusing on reducing debt and improving working capital.
- Transfer credits to past due balances or issue refunds
- Manage Lockbox and remote scanning of payments
- Post zero pay and adjustments
- Research credit balances
- Accurately post and reconcile client payments
- Apply incoming cash and cheques to customer accounts
- Reconcile revenue accounts
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Participate in team efforts to achieve goals
Qualifications
- Team player, flexible, enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive
- Experienced with financial software and hands-on accounts receivable
- Understanding of general accounting principles and ability to follow SOPs
- Demonstrates integrity and good judgement in handling confidential information
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and effective follow-up
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Analytical skills and ability to quickly understand and solve issues
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
