Role Description
This role involves coordinating and managing financial processes for assigned entities.
- Coordinates and manages month/quarter/year-end financial close including balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow using US GAAP, IFRS, and/or other local statutory accounting rules.
- Manages all phases of financial audits for assigned jurisdictions and participates in the US consolidated annual audit.
- Ensures all tax returns including Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, and others for assigned jurisdictions are submitted accurately and timely.
- Ensures all statutory filings and compliance filings are completed in a timely manner and within government guidelines.
- Manages R&D Tax Credit submissions and collections of funds where applicable.
- Responsible for 3rd Party vendor relations with accounting, tax, and consulting firms including contract negotiations, performance accountability, and annual renewals for assigned jurisdictions.
- Monitors local laws to ensure financial compliance in assigned jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or its international equivalent in financial, business, or scientific related field from an accredited institution or relevant work experience.
- A recognized professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA/ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA.
- Minimum 8 years progressive financial management experience.
- Minimum of 6 years supervisory/management experience.
- Fluent verbal and written English is a must; second language is not essential.
- Knowledge of US and IFRS Generally Accepted Accounting Practice.
- Organizational financial management experience.
- Proficiency with systems, workflow analysis, process improvements, and metrics.
- Analytical capabilities, including the ability to think critically and strategically and to propose and implement change.
- Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with internal and external constituents of various levels and diverse backgrounds and cultures.
