Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team. The Assistant Controller/Sr. Director of Accounting will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including:

Overseeing inventory and cost accounting, partnering with Supply Chain to improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Managing monthly close, reconciliations, account analysis, and preparation and posting of journal entries.
Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining supporting documentation, performing monthly and quarterly flux analyses of financial accounts and statements.
Coordinating with outsourced tax providers for accurate tax accounting, quarterly and annual tax projections, and filings.
Developing strong collaborative relationships with other teams to understand the business and apply that knowledge to financial statements and reporting.
Working with financial statement auditors to complete quarterly reviews and annual audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including the development and documentation of controls and maintenance of effective internal control processes.
Overseeing compliance with company policies and regulations.
Managing and engaging members of the accounting team.
Assisting in management of key system implementations and process improvements.
Managing and completing special projects as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
CPA certification required
Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience in accounting leadership in a corporate accounting environment combined with public accounting experience
Big 4 experience preferred
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Strong business acumen, critical thinking proficiency, and excellent communication skills
Deep knowledge and application of US GAAP and SOX 404 regulations and guidelines
