Role Description

Lago is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support one of our clients. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

You’ll play a critical part in the day-to-day financial operations of the client’s business, ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time.

Receive and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Process and enter invoices into the accounting system.
Prepare and execute payments to vendors via check, ACH, or credit card.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
Assist in resolving vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure all necessary documentation is acquired for payment processing.
Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with year-end close procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with vendors.
