Role Description

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll lead the design, optimization, and validation of advanced mobile mechanical systems that power drilling, completions, well intervention, and field operations. • Design and Develop: Engineer mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications—hydraulic equipment, mobile lifting systems, and field-service machinery.
• Optimize Performance: Enhance reliability and efficiency for high-pressure, high-load, and high-cycle environments.
• Model and Draw: Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor (preferred), Pro-E, or SolidWorks.
• Prototype and Validate: Test and refine equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and Improve: Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement in system performance.
• Collaborate and Lead: Work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Inventor, Pro-E, SolidWorks).
• Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, power units, and mechanical assemblies.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Requirements

• Remote within the Midwest (MN, WI, IL, IA, MO, KS, TX, OK, AR, LA).
• Travel: ~10% annually to customer sites and fabrication facilities.
