[Hiring] Senior E-CAD Specialist @Nexiva

Role Description

This is NOT just a basic CAD/Drafting position. They need a Senior PCB/E-CAD Designer who is very strong in Cadence, especially:

• Cadence SPB 22.1
• Capture CIS – schematic design
• Allegro – PCB/layout design
• CIS Database

The person should be able to work on both legacy and new PCB designs and independently create/modify design data.

Qualifications

• 8+ years Class 3 military PCB/circuit card design experience
• Strong Cadence / Allegro / Capture CIS PCB schematic capture and layout
• Create schematic symbols
• Create PCB footprints and padstacks from datasheets
• Convert PDF/Gerber legacy designs into native Cadence design files
• PCB design rules, constraints, netlist/debug and documentation
• Knowledge of IPC, J-STD, MIL-Spec, ASME, ESD, UL, RoHS
• Experience with mixed-signal, analog, digital, high-speed, RF, power, etc.
• Strong technical communication and attention to detail
• Able to handle multiple projects at the same time

Requirements

• US Citizen
• 8+ years Class 3 military PCB design
• Strong Cadence
• Hands-on Allegro + Capture CIS
• Can create footprints and schematic symbols from datasheets

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Senior E-CAD/PCB Designer with 8+ years of military Class 3 design experience, strong hands-on Cadence SPB 22.1, Allegro and Capture CIS skills, and the ability to create schematics, symbols, footprints, padstacks and PCB layouts. They should be comfortable working independently on multiple legacy and new designs while communicating closely with the engineering team.

Bottom line

Don't submit someone who is only a CAD drafter. The client wants a hands-on Senior PCB/E-CAD Designer with strong Cadence + Allegro + Capture CIS + military Class 3 experience.
