Role Description

Project Engineer for Utility-Scale Renewable Energy Projects

We seek an outstanding Project Engineer to efficiently coordinate planning and daily execution of renewable energy projects from concept through construction. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, construction managers, technicians, contractors, and owners to ensure the successful implementation of solar energy systems. Your expertise in solar engineering and renewable energy technologies will be essential to the company's mission of advancing sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering, ABET accreditation preferred (can be substituted with multiple years of industry experience).
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, structural, or civil principles, components, and systems.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office, PDF viewing and editing, CAD.

Requirements

• Manage internal and third-party engineers of record to produce design deliverables in accordance with client requirements, project budget, within a timeline that meets project schedule.
• Understand engineering’s involvement in safety, quality, estimating, procurement, warranty, and other internal teams.
• Be able to read, comprehend, and manage EPC Contracts and Subcontracts.
• Work collaboratively across the organization and externally to support Gridworks values and goals.
• Perform Quantity Take Off’s on designs (understanding electrical, civil, and structural) scopes and provide comparisons to budget.
• Articulate design intent to clients, receive client and project team feedback, and relay to design engineers.
• Provide value engineering as needed.
• Understand construction means and methods of install to facilitate constructability reviews of designs.
• Proficiently utilize Procore for document management.
• Create, track, and transmit submittals to clients and engineers of record.
• Timely file relevant documentation and archival of previous design versions.
• Be able to track document revisions in Procore and maintain document control.
• Create and facilitate responses to construction RFI’s.
• Support commissioning, testing, and close out process efforts.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design processes.

Travel
