[Hiring] Maintenance Engineer @National Highways Infra Trust

Role Description

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for managing the maintenance activities of road infrastructure projects. This role involves ensuring the optimal condition, safety, and functionality of roads, highways, and related facilities through effective planning, execution, and coordination of maintenance operations.

Qualifications

• B. E/ B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with 5 years of experience
• Diploma in Civil (Polytechnics regular) with 8 years of experience in Construction and Operations and Maintenance of Roads
• Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD

Requirements

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop maintenance plans, schedules, and strategies based on road types, traffic patterns, weather conditions, and maintenance priorities.
• Identify and prioritize maintenance needs through inspections and assessments.
• Carry out maintenance tasks according to the maintenance plan, including pothole repair, crack sealing, road resurfacing, signage replacement, and pavement markings.
• Operate specialized maintenance equipment and tools as required.
• Execute routine preventive maintenance activities to prolong the life of road infrastructure and prevent deterioration.
• Conduct regular inspections and address minor issues before they escalate.
• Respond to emergency repair requests, incidents, and road accidents promptly.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to address urgent issues and restore road functionality.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance tasks.
