[Hiring] Fire Suppression System Designer @Design Hire LLC

Role Description

This is a remote position. Design Hire is seeking a Fire Suppression System Designer to develop code-compliant fire protection systems for commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong AutoSPRINK and Revit experience who enjoys creating accurate BIM models, coordinating with multiple trades, and supporting projects from design through permitting and fabrication.

• Design fire suppression systems, including sprinkler layouts, piping arrangements, and coordinated BIM models.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to verify system performance, pipe sizing, water flow, and pressure requirements.
• Develop fabrication drawings, material lists, and permit submittal packages for review by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
• Coordinate Revit models with structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to resolve clashes before installation.
• Review project specifications, applicable NFPA standards, and field information to produce accurate, constructible designs.

Qualifications

• Experience designing fire suppression or fire sprinkler systems required.
• Proficiency with AutoSPRINK required.
• Strong Revit and BIM modeling experience required.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 13D, NFPA 13R, and related fire protection codes.
• Experience performing hydraulic calculations and preparing fabrication documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and architectural backgrounds.
• Experience coordinating multi-trade models on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
