[Hiring] Fire Protection Engineer @Gigantes Group

Role Description

On behalf of our client, a highly specialized, boutique fire protection engineering consultancy (under 10 team members), Gigantes Group is seeking an energetic Junior to Mid-Level Fire Protection Engineer. This is a 100% remote position (with occasional project travel) designed for a hands-on engineer who excels at fire alarm and suppression design. Key Responsibilities:

• System Design: Create detailed fire suppression (sprinkler/special hazards) and fire alarm system layouts using 3D BIM modeling platforms.
• Revit Modeling: Lead spatial coordination and design drafting in Revit, ensuring seamless integration with multidisciplinary building systems.
• Engineering Calculations: Perform hydraulic calculations, hazard assessments, and code compliance evaluations under the guidance of senior PEs.
• Project Support: Assist in preparing schematic designs, construction documents, and technical reports for a variety of commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Site Visits: Participate in occasional travel for site surveys, field inspections, and client alignment meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 2–7+ years of dedicated fire protection design experience, specifically spanning both alarm and suppression systems.
• Software Mastery: Demonstrated proficiency operating Revit directly for engineering production is required.
• Licensure: EIT (Engineer in Training) status required; an active PE license or progress toward obtaining your PE is highly preferred.
• Mindset: Highly motivated, self-directed in a remote environment, and eager to grow within a collaborative, small-team atmosphere.
