Role Description

The Engineering Technology Lead will serve as our corporate Subject Matter Expert (SME) for plant utilities across all manufacturing facilities. This senior-level, full-time remote role will be responsible for the strategic oversight, design, maintenance, and optimization of critical plant infrastructure, including water, air, gas, steam, and electricity. As a key technical leader, the ETL will operate with a high degree of independence to identify infrastructure needs, develop capital projects, and present compelling business cases to senior management. This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), to ensure compliance with OSHA and electrical safety regulations (including Arc Flash/NFPA 70E).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely related technical field

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering and maintenance organizations with a proven track record of designing, managing or supporting heavy plant infrastructure
• Deep authoritative knowledge of Arc Flash regulations, NFPA 70E and OSHA standards related to plant utilities
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale capital projects ($1M+) and working with third-party engineering firms
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, AutoCAD, and statistical analysis tools like Minitab
• Travel Requirements: The position will support multiple sites and travel will be required as necessary on the order of 50-75%
• Demonstrate detailed and efficient organization skills
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Work well under pressure to meet project deadlines
• Show high levels of commitment to detail
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing principles
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and managing budgets
• Familiarity with capital projects including engineering and construction is a plus
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators
• Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
