Role Description

The Engineering Systems Engineer, Azure DevOps is the hands-on technical owner of Azure DevOps across the Engineering organization. This role includes:

• Managing project and organization structure, boards, work item process, and access model.
• Owning Azure DevOps administration, governance, and continuous improvement end-to-end.
• Diagnosing and resolving Azure DevOps issues with authority.
• Identifying configuration drift and fragmented workflows before they become embedded patterns.
• Closing governance gaps to prevent technical debt.
• Automating manual administration work to reduce toil.
• Supporting the broader Engineering Systems platform portfolio, including tools like LaunchDarkly and Flyway.
• Leveraging AI for platform analysis, automation scripts, and insights generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analysis, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands-on Azure DevOps administration experience.
• Deep hands-on experience administering Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with PowerShell and/or REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of Git branching strategies and familiarity with Azure DevOps Boards and GitHub-hosted repositories.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose root causes behind workflow requests.
• Experience managing access controls and user provisioning across engineering platforms.
• Strong organizational discipline and attention to detail.
• Clear written communication skills.

Requirements

• Demonstrated use of AI development tools in day-to-day technical work.
