Role Description

This role is available on a part-time, job-share and full-time basis in Sutton Coldfield.

Total Package value of over £65,000, including a competitive salary of up to £57,594, depending on experience.

• Currently have a vacancy for the Sutton Coldfield area for a Lift and Crane Engineer Surveyor.

What will I be doing?

• Start with industry-leading, bespoke training.
• Carry out hands-on statutory inspections.
• Provide expert opinion on a wide range of equipment.
• Enable clients to comply with all relevant legislation and exacting standards.
• Report back using a rugged laptop and issue electronically to clients.
• Good IT skills and high levels of literacy are required.
• Excellent communicator and confident in making sound engineering judgements.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with sound knowledge of your engineering discipline.
• Part of a multi-disciplined inspection team within your geographic area.
• Report to a Team Manager and be based from home.
• Client base within a reasonable travelling distance from home.
• Ideally a Level 4 qualification (HND / HNC etc.) in a relevant engineering field, minimum level 3 – training will be offered to bring you up to competency and qualification level.
• Either a time served or Modern Apprenticeship.
• Hands-on experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
• A background in working with lifts and/or crane equipment would be an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing/repair/maintenance/mechanical/motor trade.
• Full valid UK driving licence.
• Willing and able to work paid overtime.
