[Hiring] Engineer - CAD @MangoDesk

Role Description

We're looking for a CAD Engineer for a short-term, task-based project with a leading AI training platform, focused on improving how AI models understand and reason about hardware design and CAD work. This is not a full-time or ongoing role. It's a project-based engagement, paid per approved task.

• 100% Remote
• Paid in USD, per approved task
• LATAM – Reporting to San Francisco, PST
• Task-based project, flexible hours (each task ~2 hours)
• Advanced English

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Review AI-generated CAD models and design outputs for correctness, quality, and best practices
• Produce clean, well-documented sample CAD models and solutions to design problems
• Evaluate and rank model outputs, giving clear and structured feedback
• Flag design errors, tolerance issues, and reasoning gaps to help improve model performance
• Complete each task accurately within the platform's review guidelines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional hands-on experience with a major CAD platform (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, Creo, CATIA, or similar)
• Solid understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and prototype-to-production design principles
• Sharp attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Comfortable working independently in an async, task-based workflow
• Advanced English, both written and spoken

Requirements

• Prior experience with AI training, data annotation, or model evaluation
• Experience across multiple CAD tools or design domains (mechanical, electrical/PCB, industrial)
• Familiarity with GD&T standards and manufacturing-oriented design review
