Role Description

The Director of Electrical Infrastructure serves as the practice leader for the Electrical Infrastructure Practice within Orbital Engineering's Heavy Industrial Services Division. This position is responsible for the strategic growth, technical excellence, operational performance, and profitability of the practice and its associated service offerings.

The Director provides leadership across the full lifecycle of electrical infrastructure services, including:

• Risk-based asset assessments
• Asset management and long-term capital planning
• Electrical reliability and resiliency programs
• Arc flash and power system studies
• Detailed engineering and design
• Integration of maintenance and testing services through Orbital's affiliate organizations

Working across the industrial markets of manufacturing, power generation, metals, refining, petrochemical, and specialty chemical, this role leads the team that delivers solutions that improve the safety, reliability, performance, and longevity of critical client electrical assets.

This is a REMOTE WORK position that will interface with teams and resources across the United States and international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 15 years of experience, preferably in a consulting environment, and well-rounded expertise in heavy industrial engineering projects
• Demonstrated success developing and growing engineering or professional services practices, including responsibility for sales, revenue generation, profitability, and strategic market expansion
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, including experience in developing employees, maintaining retention, and promoting a collaborative work environment
• Thorough understanding and aptitude in the use of current computer software including general MS Office products, design & business enterprise software and document control systems
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Travel up to 30%

Requirements

• Master’s degree (preferred)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
• Project Management Certification (preferred)
• This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment
