Role Description

We seek to move the world forward through innovative thinking. The Survey CAD Technician will work collectively with the Survey Team Leader, Phase Manager, and cross-functional internal departments. This individual will create, collect, analyze and validate enterprise asset data and associated land data within the CAD, enterprise geographic information system (GIS), or other asset information storage databases. Our Survey CAD Technician is responsible for:

• Reduction of field data
• Land record research
• Preparation of boundary surveys
• Preparation of topographic maps to meet internal and external customer requirements
• Interacting with cross-functional internal contacts to execute the required work
• Interacting with client staff in a professional and proactive manner to resolve issues
• Tracking progress and performing QA work associated with the requirements
• Making necessary corrections and continually managing schedule and ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center
• Able to review, process and close traverse data, control networks
• Experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads
• GIS related experience a plus
• Licensed Surveyor in Training (L.S.I.T) Certificate is a plus
• Knowledge of reading highway plans, plats and deeds
• Able to graphically present information clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment
• Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals
