[Hiring] Young Person's Resilience Worker @Change Grow Live

Role Description

Our Young Person Resilience Workers play an integral role within Change Grow Live, engaging young people in a range of interventions, using a young person-centred approach, and empowering our young service users to reduce risk, increase resilience and lead a safe, happy, and healthy lives.

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our successful EASY Project service, for under 18s. You will have the skills to work effectively with young people who use substances and an ability to work confidently with other agencies and professionals. You will be delivering:

• Assessment, harm reduction and treatment interventions to young people across Ealing borough on an outreach basis.
• Targeted small-group interventions focused on drug and alcohol awareness, education, and prevention.
• Engagement with young people at community events.
• Training and guidance for professionals and families.

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £28,557.79 - £32,802.41 pro rata

Allowance: Inner London Weighting (£4,236.47)

Responsibilities

• Engage young people in a range of interventions, utilising a young person centred approach.
• Support young people from point of entry into the service and through their support journey.
• Provide advice, support and structured interventions to young people using substances.
• Conduct screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, integrated care planning, and post treatment support.
• Identify and respond effectively to potential safeguarding issues.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to young people and the wider community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Carry out comprehensive young people's assessments and develop individual care plans.
• Support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to health and wellbeing.
• Provide advocacy for young people in multi-agency meetings.
• Network and attend community events.
• Develop and deliver workshops and training for young people and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people.
• Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience in a related field.
• Accomplished written and verbal communication skills.
• High degree of personal IT competency.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services.
• Commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships.
• Excellent team working and interpersonal skills.
