  • Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.
  • Take initiative to go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student or stakeholder, and get to the root cause of the problem, question, or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly to diverse audiences, provide non-judgmental feedback, and build positive rapport with others.
  • Ability to think critically, make decisions independently, and solve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Proven experience in collaborating effectively with diverse teams to achieve common goals.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Familiarity with writing center or rhetoric/composition pedagogies, academic writing genres, and tutoring best practices.
