[Hiring] Writer for High School Journalism Courses @eDynamic Learning

Role Description

Are you a dynamic educator, passionate about encouraging young people to explore the field of journalism? We’re hiring for a freelance Subject Matter Expert with a teaching background in Journalism to write high school courses.

• The ideal candidate will be well versed in the field of journalism, with a solid understanding of appropriate and related educational standards.
• Candidates must have teaching experience at the high school or community college level.
• The candidate will be able to write in an engaging and conversational style appropriate for 13 to 17-year-olds.

Other experience:

• Ability to disseminate knowledge via writing
• Experience working with state standards

This course will equip students with the foundational knowledge for a variety of opportunities immediately upon high school graduation. It will be a two-semester course, each with 8 units of study (units will consist of 5500 - 7500 words) and work is expected to begin immediately.

As part of the hiring process, potential candidates may be invited to participate in a paid audition to demonstrate their ability to understand and meet standards, as well as write material at an appropriate level and in an engaging manner.
