Role Description
The Science Teacher will guide students in the study of the natural world through observation, experimentation, and structured inquiry. Instruction emphasizes scientific reasoning, evidence-based thinking, and the careful study of natural phenomena.

Plan and deliver rigorous science instruction aligned with TEKS standards

Guide students in scientific reasoning, experimentation, and observation

Explain scientific concepts through clear instruction and demonstrations

Assess student learning through labs, projects, exams, and written analysis

Encourage students to engage thoughtfully with scientific inquiry

Maintain strong communication with students and families

Participate in faculty collaboration and professional development

Utilize virtual instructional tools effectively for science instruction
Please note β while this is an online school position and all instruction occurs virtually, travel and face-to-face attendance will be required several times per year to support in-person state testing and student events.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related scientific field

Strong subject-matter expertise in scientific concepts

Ability to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly

Ability to teach effectively in a virtual environment
Requirements

Texas Teaching Certification (Science 4β8 or 7β12) - Preferred

Masterβs degree in a scientific discipline or education - Preferred

Experience teaching science in a classical curriculum environment - Preferred

Experience with online learning platforms - Preferred
