Role Description

The Training & Education Manager will have a significant impact on the success of Robotics’ growth of the business by executing technical, clinical and skill training focused on sales, system implementation and customer support. This position reports into Western European Surgical Sales Training. This is a strategic and executional role supporting critical commercial team operations across the region.

Offering an exceptional opportunity to build on clinical or sales experience and develop the skills for upward or lateral roles. The successful individual will design and deploy training programs for new employees and support Robotics business initiatives. They will also partner with local field management to support ongoing sales team development.

The work location within Europe is flexible but candidates must be prepared to travel up to 70% across the region. Significant time will be spent delivering hands-on training at the IRCAD training center located in Strasbourg, France. Occasional international travel will be required.

• Identify training needs: Drive collaboration of different regional stakeholders to identify skill or knowledge gaps based on roles and responsibilities.
• Training development: Partner with Global and Regional departments to design and develop training courses that align with organizational goals and objectives, implementing the principle of 80% standardization and 20% customization when required.
• Training delivery: Deliver clinical and technical content effectively using digital resources and methods such as Blended, Synchronous, and Asynchronous learning.
• Training evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of the training through evaluations, surveys, and feedback, creating mechanisms to measure learning outcomes.
• Team collaboration: Foster cross-departmental training collaboration that promotes a culture of learning, enhances communication efficiency, and encourages continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of combined experience in medical device sales or marketing, clinical experience (nursing, etc.), training delivery, or other relevant areas.
• Strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for training and development, and a commitment to teamwork.
• In-depth knowledge of successful field sales and support organization structure, processes, and culture.
• Operating Room knowledge, ideally with Robotic experience.
• Excellent influencing, interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience in multicultural organizations, particularly with different learning and thinking styles.
• Proven track record of navigating and collaborating within a global matrix organization.
• Proven track record of individual and team achievement with a natural drive for results.
• Experience with project management/project leadership and excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English; European language capability is desired.

  • Belgium: 100,000.00 EUR - 150,000.00 EUR
  • Germany: 96,000.00 EUR - 144,000.00 EUR
  • Italy: 69,600.00 EUR - 104,400.00 EUR
  • Netherlands: 90,000.00 EUR - 135,000.00 EUR
  • Portugal: 58,400.00 EUR - 87,600.00 EUR
  • Spain: 68,800.00 EUR - 103,200.00 EUR
  • United Kingdom: 72,000.00 GBP - 108,000.00 GBP
• The final salary will be determined based on objective, job-related criteria, including relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
• This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
