[Hiring] Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Emergency, Disaster and Global Security Studies @Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

Role Description

The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Worldwide Campus (ERAU-W) seeks a tenure-track assistant professor with a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Security Studies, or a related field. This is a fully remote online position (U.S.-based) with no relocation required; travel will be required to attend commencement and mandatory college meetings as well as relevant other events.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Sociology, Security Studies or a related field.
• Have an active, pertinent scholastic research agenda.
• Teach in several of the above programs based on their qualifications.
• Oversee the newly launched Criminal Justice minor and teach related courses.
• Utilize teaching modalities that primarily include asynchronous and synchronous online delivery.
• Maintain an exemplary level of research and scholarly activity.
• Contribute to student success through recruitment and retention efforts.
• Administer the Criminal Justice minor and other curriculum and program development.
• Participate on departmental, college, and/or university committees.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Sociology, Security Studies or a related field.
• Preferred specialization in criminal justice, homeland security, or an area that complements the research and teaching expertise of the current faculty in the department.
