Role Description
The Technical Training Manager oversees the Lifetime Services technical training team which is responsible for developing and delivering Material Handling Equipment training programs to TGWs Lifetime Services (LTS) Site Teams. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative and effective communicator.

Manages the operations of the technical training team to ensure development and delivery of training programs to site teams in coordination with broader TGW training programs, processes and methods.

Programs must address initial site team training as well as ongoing training requirements.

Allocates technical training resources effectively to meet service demands internally (within TGW) and externally (at TGW customers) in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Hires, trains and manages performance of training staff including setting performance standards and objectives, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback and coaching, to build a competent and motivated team.

Participates in site audits to identify opportunities for improvement through training.

Works closely with site managers to ensure site teams are properly trained and adhering to TGW standards.

Secondary responsibility to assist in training Hotline and Mobile Services personnel.

Assists LTS team to identify customer training opportunities and deliver training to customers.

Collaborates with global TGW training resources to ensure consistent training methodologies are utilized.

Attends new product training to stay current on all TGW products/systems.

Provides site support during peak season.

Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Provides input on department budgeting and expenditures.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience designing and developing Material Handling Equipment training programs.

Experience leading a small team or department.

Several years mechatronic troubleshooting and repair experience with material handling conveyor, AS/RS and shuttle experience; fluent in use of troubleshooting tools (Digital Multimeter, power supply, and hand tools).

Several years' experience in PLC troubleshooting and use of programming, diagnostic and troubleshooting tools (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Beckhoff).

Profibus, Profinet, CAN bus experience preferred.

Proficiency with interpreting CAD schematics for use in diagnostics preferred.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite preferred.

Approximately 50% travel required.
