Role Description

Amerit Fleet Solutions is looking to hire a Technical Training Instructor to help train, develop, and mentor a diverse and growing team of EV/AV technicians across the US. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with a passion for teaching, leadership, and learning, who wants to continue to develop their own skills in a dynamic and cutting-edge industry. In this position you’ll work with internal and external partners to become a subject matter expert on the Autonomous Vehicle, and then work to create content, develop training curriculum, and host ongoing training classes for new and existing technical and management staff.

Qualifications

• Strong automotive system repair knowledge and training experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components.
• Experience diagnosing and performing repairs on electric and/or hybrid vehicles.
• 8+ years' experience working on cars (brakes, advanced suspension, alignment, electrical repair and diagnosis, software/firmware updates).
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and automotive shop equipment.
• Tech savvy with a strong aptitude to learn new technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate future setbacks and lead complex problem-solving activities.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Requirements

• Ability to perform regular physical work including, but not limited to, stooping, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds.
• Proactive, flexible, confident, professional, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate and serve as a partner/consultant to leadership and staff.
